Modest Mouse released their video for “Dashboard” on MTV’s Overdrive. Click here to check it out. I like the new song and video very much. I know this band is huge now and us cool kids used to have them to ourselves and now frat boys are into it. HOWEVER they are still holding it together and the new album, “We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank” is great. It comes out March 20th. Pick it up. It makes me very happy.

The Ten features the same cast of characters from The State, Stella, Wet Hot American Summer, Reno 911, etc. The movie features ten stories, each inspired by one of the Ten Commandments. Paul Rudd and Michael Ian Black in another movie together? Thank you God. Official site here.

24 Phone number

Tonight’s episode of 24 has a phone number on a PDA that was 310.597.3781. We paused it right away (thanks to Shea’s quick wit) and called the number. It said “Nextel phone for 24″ and then everything else was in spanish. But thanks to some spanish speakers in our group, it said “Caller is on the phone” or something of the sorts. We tried to direct connect the number and it was denied. Pretty cool.

Hack the planet…

The good ol’ days. The Honest man.

So long since an update. I’ve been really busy. We just finished two large projects and my taxes are done. So I’ll try to update more!

I figured I should pick my “Best Album of 2006″ and I normally pick some small snobby band that hates radio and labels and that myself and my small groups of friends are completed obsessed with. However this year… It has to go to The Killers.

Yes they used to be a “guyliner” band and yes they did try to make the whole “new wave” thing work again. However: This album if you haven’t heard it all yet, is amazing from start to finish. It’s catchy pop songs with honest humble lyrics. I think whats gets me is the country influence. Yes this album rips off Springsteen and the last album “Hot Fuss” he tries to sound like Morrissey’s lost modern dance band. But honestly people it’s a damn good record and I’m a sucker for folk lyrics. So thats my pick for 2006. Maybe next year I’ll go with a EP of a band no one cares about, but for now… The Killers. Here is their latest video…

Jack Bauer hates toys and so do you

24 fans will soon be treated to a duo of super deluxe Jack Bauer action figures from Mcfarlane toys; but at least one figure will not be as originally intended due to the abuse of Keifer Sutherland himself. Seems Keifer was sent an advanced version of one of the 24 figures and decided to bring it out for a little partying. The end result? In Keifer’s own words:

“We took the doll out for a night to have some fun and we’d had some drinks. We sat it on the corner of the table. We started torturing him around 11 o’clock at night, and, by two o’clock in the morning, we had set him on fire in the parking lot. We got up the next day and there was just this puddle of wax. His clothes didn’t burn, which I thought was pretty cool…and then I got a call the next day saying, ‘Did you like the doll?’ I said, ‘Yeah, it was great.’ And they said, ‘Well, OK, good, you gotta send it back to us because that was the prototype…It took that guy a year to make it.’ I said, ‘Well, let me look for it, I think I left it in the trailer.’ This went on for about a week and then I had to just kinda come clean.”
